political organization: (noun)
within every society a sense of government must be obtained to maintain order, along with the system comes a caste or social order, which displays the political power each class within the caste system holds.

There are two forms of order in the Umuofia society prior to the British missionary invasion. The egwugwu are nine spirits represented by nine unknown Umuofians. Their duty is to administer justice in the form of a jury. There are three titles a man can obtain in this culture. Each titled man wears an anklet to display his position. These titles begin with the initiation into the ozo. Last in the caste system there are osus, or outcasts that are considered the taboo or an abomination.
